Our Thinking About Drinking

In the United States alone, about 11,773 people died in alcohol-impaired driving crashes in 2008, accounting for 32 percent of the total fatalities on roadways. Although this represents a decline from previous years and the fatality rate per vehicle miles traveled was the lowest on record, the losses remain too high. Every drunk driving death in every part of the world should be preventable.
